S.O.P'S
1. UNIFORM
Please wear the correct uniform.
1a:
During a member's probationary period, their rank will be Recruit and thus their in-game name must display the Recruit tag (22SAS*Name (asterisk)). In Battlefield 2, 22SAS* must be put in the prefix box on the login screen of the game. In COD4, their in-game name must be edited to include 22SAS* at the beginning of their name. In COD:WAW, 22SAS* must be put in the clan tag box of the Multiplay Options.
1b:
During a member's probationary period, their Website Account Display Name must show the Recruit Rank Prefix before their name like so - Rct.Name - and their Avatar must show the Recruit Rank Tab.
1c:
Upon passing the selection process, the member's in-game name must display the "full member" clan tag. The full member clan tag is slightly different in each game depending on the characters the game allows a player to use in their name. For BF2, the asterisk needs to be removed from the prefix box on the login screen and replaced with a space so that their name in-game looks like this: 22SAS Name (22SAS (uppercase) space). In COD4, their in-game display names need to be edited by removing the asterisk and replacing it with a vertical bar, so that it looks like this: 22SAS|Name (22SAS (uppercase) vertical bar). The same is true for COD:WAW, where the asterisk must be replaced by a vertical bar in the Clan Tag box of the Multiplayer Options.
1d:
Upon passing the probationary period, a member's forum name must be changed to the rank prefix of Private - Pte.Name - and their Avatar must show the Private Rank Tab (which will be updated by the forum admins). It is also mandatory upon passing selection for members to submit a photo of themselves to the Webmaster, or another member of the DS to be passed on to the Webmaster, for the Troopers pages. If a member is promoted within the clan, their forum/website display name rank prefix and their rank tab avatar will be updated by the forum admins.
1e:
No special characters, "Leet speak" or un-necessary or nonsensical numbers/capital letters/punctuations marks may be used in a clan member's in-game name. This can be excused with respect to Battlefield 2 players, taking into account that they may have had special characters in their Battlefield name prior to joining the clan (we understand that Battlefield players will want to keep their existing profiles - if there are any concerns about a members name the DS will decide). Nor can any "leet speak" or un-necessary or nonsensical numbers/capital letters/punctuation marks be used in a clan member's website account display name.
1f:
All members are required to wear their clan tag and play under their clan name at all times whilst playing clan supported games. Members found to be playing any clan supported games without their clan tags on will recieve a Gypsy point. (Members who are new to a clan supported game (ie if a member is in the BF2 Troop and they have only just bought COD4) are not exempt from this rule - being new to a game is no excuse to not wearing your clan tags during your first time on the game as it is mentioned both here in the SOP's and in the Clan Guide that clan tags are to be worn and how to add them.) Members may use their discretion on wearing the clan tag in other games not supported by the clan. Members may not change their clan name, rank prefix or rank tab avatar on the website - repeat offenders may also be Gypsied.

2. BEHAVIOUR
Please act in the correct manner whilst representing the clan.
2a:
* No offensive messages are to be used towards any individual or group of players.
* No offensive messages are to be used towards another clan or it's members.
* No offensive messages are to be used towards other nations or religions.
* No excessive profanity or foul language is to be used on comms or in game. ("I consider foul language excessive if it is directed at a person, done forcefully or stringed together in general chat. I do not consider it excessive if it is used as a cuss - to express emotions such as anger or frustration but done as a natural reaction, just like when you stub your toe." - RSM Mazing (Ret.) - "This clan is an adult orientated, male dominated environment, so swearing will and is going to happen, and will therefore be allowed (provided that it is not directed towards someone and not meant in jest)." - RSM Wimp.)
* Any act that can potentially damage the reputation of the 22nd SAS Clan (such as insulting players while on our servers or another clan's servers, or "flaming" towards another clan on their forums or on ours) is a serious offence.
2b:
* Cheating will not be tolerated from clan members. Members found to be cheating will be instantly kicked from the clan and their information submitted to other server admins.
* Glitching will not be tolerated from clan members. Glitching refers to the exploitation of game programing flaws in order to gain an unfair advantage over other players. Members found to be intentionally glitching will be punished based upon the severity of the offence. (Please refer to the Full COD4 Server Rules in the forums to confirm what is and is not considered as glitching in the game by this clan.)
* Stats Padding will not be tolerated from clan members. Stats Padding refers to the act of increasing one's own in-game stats by unfair means, such as getting clan members together to knife and revive each other to increase their knife kills and revives.
2c:
Bullying of other clan members will not be tolerated.
2d:
We expect loyalty of our members. Being a member of another clan that supports the same game is unacceptable and will result in an instant dismissal of the member in question.
2e:
Members found to be breaking the above rules will be punished based upon the severity of the offence.
2f:
Members found to be breaking our server rules will only recieve one warning (either on comms or via in-game chat) before being kicked if they break another server rule. If they break a server rule again in the same 24 hours after being kicked, they will recieve a Gypsy and a 24 hour ban from the server.

3. RANK STRUCTURE & PROMOTION
Please follow the rank structure of the clan.
3a:
When a member has been promoted, their forum name and avatar must be changed to reflect their new rank (L.Cpl.Name; Cpl.Name; Sgt.Name; S.Sgt.Name), which will be updated by the forum admin.
3b:
Higher ranks will accept the suggestions of the lower ranks in relation to the running of the clan or their respective game Troop, but will ultimately make the final decision. Please note that although the higher ranks are responsible for the running of the clan, whilst in combat all troopers are considered equal in the 22nd SAS clan.
3c:
Promotion within the clan will be reviewed quarterly by the Senior Non Commissioned Officers. Promotions will be offered to individuals on the basis of responsibility within the clan. A promotion will bring additional duties that the individual must adhere to with the new rank. Promotion offers can be declined and will have no affect on an individual’s status in the clan. Demotions are also possible if individuals are not complying with the responsibilities set forth by their rank.
3d:
Recruit Period: Individuals will remain in recruit status until their 3 month trial period has come to an end. This trial period is subject to be longer than 3 months depending upon the timing of the next quarterly review.
3e:
Private: Upon completion of a trial, the Senior Non Commissioned Officers will review all progress made by recruits and accept those individuals who are best suited for the clan. The role of a Private is to continue their activity in the clan and strive to better their game play.
3f:
Lance Corporal: Upon promotion, Lance Corporals’ main duty is to help guide and shape the Recruits and Privates. Lance Corporals’ are there to help smooth the transition between Recruit and Private for all new members and to help them with any problems they may have. You will also have limited access to your troops server admin, in order to police the server and help uphold the server rules.
3g:
Corporal: Outstanding Lance Corporal’s will be promoted to Corporal. The main duty for a Corporal is the same as a Lance Corporal, except they are also now responsible for the Lance Corporals below them too - helping them to adjust to their new role and become as good a Lance Corporal as they can be.
3h:
Sergeant: Upon acceptance of this rank, an individual’s responsibility will increase. A Sergeant, along with the responsibilities of the lower ranks will also be given access to Clan Forge (et al) in order to help change and run the server. The roles of a Sergeant will include the running of the Live-ops, Battleracer and Mod night events, etc.
3i:
Staff Sergeant: Upon acceptance of this rank, an individual will enter the upper echelon of the Senior Non Commissioned Officer tier. This means that they will be considered to run their own troop, meaning that they will be the 2IC of their troop and groomed in order to fulfil the next rank. This rank may also have a hand in recruiting for the troop. An individual will be issued their duties by the Senior NCO’s but will still comply with all the responsibilities of the lower ranks. Each troop will have two Staff Sergeants at any given time, known as "Joint 2IC's".
3j:
Sergeant Major: This rank is offered to an individual who has shown the capacity to lead and is willing to take over the IC role of their troop. This duty encompasses all the lower ranks and they will also have a hand in promotions and awards.
3k:
SSM: The role of an SSM is to provide a pleasant atmosphere within the clan. This rank is only attained by invitation and its duties encompass all ranks responsibilities. SSM’s help manage the clan and can kick, ban and discipline members who step out of line.
3l:
RSM- The clan leader!!!! His word is gospel!!!
3m:
Members found abusing their rank will be disciplined. This is totally unacceptable and will normally lead to demotion.
3n:
Demotions are also possible if individuals are not complying with the responsibilities set forth by their rank.

4. EVENTS & MATCHES
Please follow these simple rules whilst involved with events or matches.
4a:
All members are encouraged to use comms during training, but it is a necessity during events and matches.
4b:
Any member who puts their name down to participate in an event or clan match is expected to honour thier word. If a member cannot attend the arranged event, we ask that they let another member know as-soon-as possible to pass on the word. If a member cannot get word to another member before the event in question, you will lose 4 coins. If you have less than 4 coins, you will be gypsied. There is zero tolerance with this rule. I recommend asking for your IC's mobile phone numbers so you can call/text to pass on information prior to the match.

5. THE TREASURY & SUBS
Information on the Treasury.
5a:
All members who have passed recruit status will be required to make a minimum monthly payment of £5. This money is to be used to support all servers, web hosting fees and other clan sundries such as prizes for events as well as to be used for clan improvements and growth.
5b:
All members must set up recurring payment through the clan Paypal account. All issues having to do with clan dues are to be kept STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL with no exceptions. The Treasurer will be the only member with access to this kind of information.
5c:
Members whose recurring clan dues are at £8 or more will be noted as a Board Member of the clan. Board members will be identified by a certificate on that members profile on the Troopers Page.
5d:
Failure to pay subs without good reason will result in diciplinary action.

6. BOARD MEMBERS
Board Members roles and duty.
6a:
Board members are not of any higher standing than other members. Being a board member is a 'thank you' from the clan for your high financial support.
6b:
Board members can vote on clan expenditures and any other changes to the clan that will be passed down from the directing staff. Board members can overide the directing staff's decisions by a successful vote.
6c:
Only board members can see enter the Board Room in the clans forum. Each member has 1 vote and the vote cannot be retracted once made.
6d:
Any attempt to influence another board members vote will lead to diciplinary action.
6e:
Recruits cannot be board members.
6f:
Directing Staff cannot vote or comment in the Board Room unless it is in reply to a question. (conflict of interest).

GYPSY WARNINGS
Failure to adhere to these simple rules can and will result in the issue of Gypsy Warnings.
All members have a maximum limit of three Gypsies. The first Gypsy issued to any member will expire after four months. Any further Gypsies will have a life of six months each. Gypsies will be marked on the Troopers page and will also show expiration dates. For serious misconduct several Gypsies can be issued at once. For gross misconduct the member will be discharged from the clan.
The Directing Staff of the clan reserve the right to edit these rules whenever needed. New rules, when added, will apply with backworking force.
The RSM's decision IS FINAL!
